How saved sensitivity profiles work
This tool stores the settings you enter, not a new conversion model. Each profile keeps a name, a game record, your mouse DPI, your in-game sensitivity and the timestamps needed to show when it was created or changed. cm/360 and inches/360 are recalculated from the loaded game model whenever the list is rendered.
- Name the profile. Choose a name you will recognise, such as a game, mousepad setup or a specific mouse DPI profile.
- Choose the game and settings. Select any of the loaded game records, then enter your mouse DPI and the sensitivity shown in the game settings.
- Save and repeat. Save the profile, change the values if needed, and save another. Up to 50 profiles can be stored in this browser.
- Load or update later. Load a profile to put its values back into the form. Save again to update it, or use New profile to create a separate entry.
- Open supported settings in cm/360. Where a usable model exists, open the saved settings in the cm/360 calculator to see the distance or reverse a target.
Storage and privacy
Profiles are stored locally under sc_profiles_v1. Only the profile data required by this tool is written. No login, user account, database or cloud storage is used, and nothing is sent to a server.
Every stored record is validated before loading. Malformed JSON, an unsupported schema version, an unknown game, invalid numbers or duplicate identifiers stop the load and leave the stored data untouched. Damaged data is never silently deleted: removal requires an explicit confirmation. The tool does not read or modify analytics consent storage or any other application key.
Local storage is controlled by your browser. Clearing site data, using some private-browsing modes or changing storage settings can remove or block profiles. Up to 50 profiles can be stored; quota errors are reported without altering the existing list.
Game-model compatibility
- All loaded records
- All 476 games can save raw DPI and sensitivity values. This does not require a usable cm/360 model.
- Supported cm/360 profiles
- 424 profiles use the existing linear-yaw or custom-curve calculation utilities and can show cm/360 and inches/360.
- Unavailable approximations
- 52 source-flagged non-linear records save normally, but display that a reliable cm/360 is unavailable.
- Conflicting game models
- WARDOGS, Mistfall Hunter and Halo Campaign Evolved keep a warning that identifies the general-converter model and the cm/360 model used by this tool.
FAQ
Where are my profiles stored?
Profiles are stored only in this browser's local storage under the versioned key sc_profiles_v1. There is no account, database or cloud sync. Clearing site data or changing browser settings can remove them.
Can every game show cm/360?
424 of the 476 loaded game records have a usable cm/360 model. The other 52 source-flagged non-linear records can still save raw DPI and sensitivity, but a reliable cm/360 is not displayed for them.
Why do some saved games warn about conflicting models?
WARDOGS, Mistfall Hunter and Halo Campaign Evolved have a separate general-converter record and cm/360 record. Saved profiles use the cm/360 model and keep a warning that names both models so the difference is not hidden.
What happens if the stored data is damaged?
The tool validates every stored record before loading and does not silently delete unreadable data. If the stored JSON, schema version or a record is invalid, nothing is loaded or changed until you explicitly choose to remove the unreadable data.
What if browser storage is unavailable or full?
If storage is blocked, for example in some private-browsing modes, profiles cannot be saved. If the storage quota is full, the save is refused and the existing profiles are left unchanged. Delete profiles and try again.
Does this change my game or mouse settings?
No. The tool only stores the values you enter and calculates from the loaded records. It does not connect to a game, change settings or transfer anything to a server.
